David Bateman, Consultant
David Bateman has served not for profit and public sector organizations for more than 35 years with extensive experience in the areas of organizational development, administration, board development, strategic planning and funding initiatives as well as program design and implementation. In positions ranging from Director of Programs to President and CEO, the majority of David’s career has been spent growing and administering innovative and sustainable Easter Seals pediatric and adult therapy services, inclusive camping and outdoor recreation programs and community based programming in Colorado, Illinois, Washington State and Pennsylvania. Notably, during David’s tenure as Community President, and due to the efforts of his staff and leadership team, Easter Seals Central Illinois was the recipient of the McLean County Chamber of Commerce Not for Profit Business Excellence Award.
Additional and broad ranging experiences have included the facilitation of partnerships, mergers and acquisitions between not for profit organizations, municipalities and educational institutions as well as adjunct faculty positions with Purdue University, the University of Central Missouri and the Methodist College of Nursing. David received a Master of Science Degree in Social Gerontology from the University of Central Missouri and a Bachelor of Science in Therapeutic Recreation Administration from Eastern Illinois University. Professional and volunteer leadership service has included the Illinois Easter Seals Executives Association-Past President and member of the Board of Directors for the Timber Pointe Charitable Foundation, American Camp Association, Area IV Area Agency on Aging and Sunrise Rotary Club.
David and wife Jenni, a freelance marketing, graphic and fine artist, are currently engaged in projects and communities in Illinois, Michigan and Florida.
