Welcome to DUEL 2024!

We are delighted that you could join us for this evening of fun and fundraising! To make it as easy as possible for you to participate in the event’s activities, we have prepared a helpful FAQ.

We appreciate your attendance and encourage you to take part in the additional games, raffles, and other offerings. This will help us raise extra funds that go directly towards supporting local children in need and furthering our mission to prevent child abuse in our community.

Auction, Raffle and Game FAQs

Silent Auction

You must be registered in Givesmart to participate. If you are not already registered or have questions, please see “GiveSmart Registration FAQs” below.

How to bid

Once you have completed a registration on the campaign, you will receive the welcome text message, linking you to the items to browse, bid or buy.

  1. Click HERE (must sign in) or on the blue link in the Welcome text to be directed to the Items page.
  2. View Items by category or search by Item number or name.
  3. Click the item of interest to view the description as well as the current bid and or price.
  4. The system will auto-populate the bid amount based on the set increment for the item.
    • Choose to bid at the set amount or higher.
  5. Click Bid.

How to place an auto bid

Allow the system to automatically bid up to a designated amount for you. The system will bid incrementally up to the amount designated as long as someone else places a bid against you. If no one bids against your auto bid, the price remains the same.

  1. Click the item of interest
  2. Click the Auto Bid tab
  3. Enter in the maximum amount you would like to bid
  4. Click Bid.
Note: When two bids are placed for the same amount, the bid placed first based on the timestamp wins. Timestamps are set when the initial bid is placed, for auto bids this is when a maximum was set not when the system prompted the bid to win.

How to text to bid

As a user, you have the ability to send texts to place bids on silent auction items.

  1. Text DUEL2024 to 76278 to register
  2. Text the ITEM NUMBER and AMOUNT
    •  Example:  To place a $1000 bid on Item 101, text “101 1000”
  3. Receive a leading bidder confirmation text message

Bremer Jewelry Necklace Raffle

Bremer Jewelry is raffling a .49 carat diamond necklace valued at $1,799.

Raffle tickets can be purchased for $25 each and are available through GiveSmart.

*You must be registered in GiveSmart to purchase a ticket. For registration information, please see below.

Heads or Tails

Heads or tails is a fundraising game of chance where participants pay to play and then compete to guess whether a coin flip will result in heads (put hands on head) or tails (put hands on tail). This keeps going until one person remains standing. The winner will receive passes to the Barn III Theater for dinner and a show.

How to Play

Participants will need to purchase a “Heads or Tails” instant ticket (through GiveSmart) prior to the game starting. When it’s time for the game, the emcee will tell everyone who has purchased  to stand up and then the fun begins.

  1. Each person will be told to pick heads or tails by putting their hands on the corresponding body part to indicate.
  2. Then a coin is flipped and the winners stay in the game. Everyone else sits down.
  3. Once there are 10 or so people left, they will move towards the stage area play until one person is left, becoming the winner.

You must be registered in GiveSmart to participate. For instructions on how to register, see below.

Wine Grab

For $25 you can pull a wrapped bottle of wine and see what you’ve won! Bottles will be a variety of flavors and prices. All draws will be “blind,” but you’ll be able to choose between red and white.

Tickets can be purchased in cash or credit/debit card. You must be registered in GiveSmart to pay via credit/debit.

**Note that due to the alcohol policies from the venue, the wine cannot be opened at the event.

"CPN Swag" Game

Everyone’s a winner in this fun game! A $25 ticket gets you a chance to draw a mystery prize from the prize tube. Prizes include items like hats, shirts, portable chargers, luggage tags, cups, cross body bags  and more. All prizes are valued at over $20!

Tickets can be purchased in cash or credit/debit card. You must be registered in GiveSmart to pay via credit/debit.

Dress Code

What is the dress code for the event?

Cocktail Casual Attire – This means you can feel free to wear anything from a cocktail-style dress to stylish slacks and a nice blouse or collared shirt.

To show your support for CPN, we’d love to see you incorporate a touch of our signature royal blue color into your outfit if possible, though this is not required. Whether it’s a blue accessory, a blue patterned dress, or even just a blue tie, adding a hint of blue is a great way to celebrate our cause.

The most important thing is to wear something you feel confident and comfortable in. We want everyone to come together and enjoy the evening while supporting our important work.
